This is one of the favorite photos I've taken of my #knitting in a long time. The combination of color, what's in focus vs. out of focus, and a sense of movement really speak to me. I photographed the shawl for my blog and there's lots of other cool pics up there, but this is my favorite of them all. Pattern is #curveofaboatshawl by @larissabrownauthor ⠀

My morning involved cleaning up things that should have stayed in the kiddo’s diaper, but at least these socks are going well. My last post here was at the end of August. Why the month and a half break? Because I was tired of throwing so much energy and time and mindless scrolling into a void when I had so little to spare. So I put that time and energy into designing patterns, writing, blogging, doing the mom thing, reading, and having actual downtime. The time away also helped me get past my frustration and help me decide how I want to use this space going forward. Less expectations. More short snippets and stories. So what if there’s no response? Sometimes I just need to say something and break the isolation of staying home with a young kiddo.
